Welcome to three days to understand how you function and learn to influence how you feel.
This retreat is a combined course and retreat where you gain knowledge, tools and experiences, all at the same time.
You learn how thoughts, emotions, body, nervous system and unconscious processes interact and get tools to understand and influence it in yourself.
At the same time, you receive guided processes, guided sessions and personal time for recovery and deeper connection with yourself.
You will receive:
- understanding your patterns
- concrete tools to change them
- techniques for influencing stress and internal states
- practical exercises for body and mind
- group with a warm and open atmosphere
- time for recovery and reflection
- accommodation and homemade healthy food
This is what we do
We combine short briefings with practical work where you get to test, feel, practice directly and understand what you learn. Then we alternate workshops with different sessions of relaxation, immersion and playful energy.
You will experience, among other things:
- methods for regulating the nervous system
- understanding of the stress system
- working with thoughts & feelings
- breathing techniques & guided breathwork
- live sound journeys with instruments that harmonize
- bodily methods for fascia and the energy system
- self-coaching and self-therapy
We base our work on a number of different methods and principles from our experience, where we share what we have noticed is most effective, including:
- mental training
- NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
- self-hypnosis
- sensory therapy & stress regulation (tapping & Havening)
- Traditional Chinese Medicine
- Craniosacral therapy
- breathwork/breathing therapy
- FLOW technology
- fascia treatment
For whom?
This is for those of you who want to understand what controls how you feel and who want to start influencing it.
- You may be someone who is not feeling well or experiencing pain and wants to feel better.
- You may be someone who feels good and wants to understand people and yourself more deeply.
- You may also be someone who works with people in some way, therapist, coach, healer, leader, teacher or parent, and want to understand our processes and learn new tools for change.
You don’t need any previous experience or knowledge and you choose at what level you want to participate, share and what you want this to give you.
Why this works
We humans are not robots.
We are complex organisms with a super-intelligent body that creates itself, a sharp intellect that likes to believe it is right, an emotional system that is trying to signal something, and a deeper wisdom that is sometimes difficult to put into words. All of these parts influence each other all the time.
When something in life isn’t working, many people try to change it by thinking more, trying harder, or pushing harder. Sometimes it works. Often, however, the same reactions and patterns keep coming back.
This is because much of what controls how we react is not in our thoughts, but in the interaction between the body, nervous system, emotions and habitual patterns.
When you begin to understand how these systems interact, it becomes easier to see your own patterns and what actually affects what.
This is not about becoming someone else, but about understanding how you work and learning to work with your own system.
What the weekend looks like
The retreat runs from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon and is designed as a combination of knowledge, practical work and recovery.
There is also time for reflection, nature, recovery and group conversation so that you have time to settle into what you are experiencing during the weekend.
Friday
We land, go through the basics and start working with the body and nervous system.
The evening ends with a sound journey.
Saturday
We go deeper.
More work with patterns, body and mental processes.
More practical exercises and a longer sound journey in the evening.
Sunday
We’ll tie the weekend together.
You’ll get clear ways to continue working from home.
Food as part of the whole
Food is part of the whole and helps the body settle in, recover and find balance.
During the retreat, we have hired GAPS Coach Lisa Billö *, who specializes in cooking food adapted to the body’s real needs.
Lisa serves nutrient-dense food made from scratch with clean ingredients, with a more original and evolutionary approach to what we humans feel good about eating. The food is formulated to provide stable energy, support digestion, and contribute to a calmer nervous system.
Meals are served in a peaceful environment and will be a natural and guaranteed valuable part of your experience.
* If Lisa is unable to attend, we will bring in another chef with a focus on nutrition, quality and wholeness . This does not affect the content of the retreat and is not grounds for cancellation or refund.
Accommodation at Rasbo course building
At Rasbo Kursgård you will stay in nice, newly renovated rooms.
There are a certain number of single rooms and double rooms. We try to accommodate requests for private rooms as much as possible. If we have around 20 participants, everyone will be able to get a single room. If we have more, we will allocate the rooms based on needs and booking status. In other words, we cannot promise in advance what it will be unless you have special needs, but we do our best to meet everyone’s wishes.
Bring your swimwear and enjoy the wood-fired hot tub.
There is plenty of parking.
Are you traveling by public transport?
Take bus 118 from Uppsala Central Station towards Gåvsta. Get off at the Rasbo church stop. We will pick up those who need it there at 09.40. You can find the departures at www.ul.se.
